Please note this item is made specifically for AR15 guns that have a "MID-LENGTH GAS IMPINGEMENT SYSTEM" and is not compatible with carbine length or rifle length gas impingement systems.

The "vast majority" of AR15 and M4 type guns use a "CARBINE LENGTH GAS IMPINGEMENT SYSTEM" and will NOT be compatible with this item.

If you are unsure of the type of gas system that you have, most of the time you can determine what it is by measuring your existing handguard.

If the length of your existing handguard is approx 6-1/2" then you likely have a carbine length gas system. If your handguard measures approx 8-1/2" then you likely have a "Mid-Length" gas system.
