If your rifle does not have a sling swivel stud then you will need to purchase an optional adapter kit or sling swivel stud. This bipod does Not swivel from side to side. Ultra-light Harris Bipods are manufactured with heat treated steel and hard alloys. They clamp to the Q.D. stud of most bolt action rifles that have a conventional stock design.

Carrying your rifle with a sling or shooting off-hand is not impeded by the use of a Harris Bipod.
